GOOEY, DECADENT HOT BUTTERED RUM SAUCE 


Ingredients

1 Pouch Just A Splash Culinary Rum
255 grams dark brown sugar
180 ml double cream
64 grams butter, cut into small cubes
A dash of water

Method

1 Heat a pan over medium heat. Start the caramel by adding the brown sugar to a bit of water
2 Meanwhile, gently warm the cream in a separate pan
3 Once the caramel is ready, add the butter a few cubes at a time  
4 Add Just A Splash culinary Rum to the caramel mixture and use a long handle lighter to flambé
5 Add the warmed cream and reduce the heat to medium-low
6 Simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes, and serve
